This is a rare colour to find on the beaches here in North Devon. There is a deep purple, background tint to this dark burgundy/maroon piece of sea glass. It is not new and shiny, but has been tumbled and well scoured by endless tides and wave action. This colour glass was often used for beer bottles, vases and medicine bottles. It makes a stunning sterling silver ring.
